New life for a Dublin landmark
Messrs Maguire is a long-established, landmark establishment on the banks of the Liffey in central Dublin, viewed with fondness and affection by locals and visitors alike.
Over the last decade Messrs had lost its way, alienating core audiences without attracting new ones. It's really unique feature, the on-site microbrewery, had been abandoned, and the food and drink was a mish-mash of everything, trying to appeal to everyone but really appealing to few.
But the new decade has brought new resolution, and with our help the brand has rejuvenated itself, reopening the brewery, creating a new, simple menu of good Irish pub food, and going back to the traditional things that good Dublin pubs do so well; good beer, good food but most of all good company.
We created an entirely new approach for Messrs, developing a new identity and tone, creating an online presence and social media channels, as well as advising in the development of the menu and brand collateral.
We also developed a programme of launch events with our sister agency OceanPR, kicking things off with a 'mass haka' in central Dublin on the eve of the All Blacks visit.
