Using Twitter to engage with clients
We at io know that New Year is generally not a fun time of year for people. So we wanted to cheer things up a little bit, as well as demonstrate how social media channels can be used in interesting and engaging ways.
We knew that by late January people's well-intended new year resolutions would be falling by the wayside, so we developed Total Twitness, Ireland's first (and in all probability, last) Twitter-led fitness regime.
To head it up we created Will Power, a slightly delusional office worker, who has, all by himself, worked out a fitness regime that he tweeted out over the course of 12 days, with the 'exercises' going up daily on the website.?
We then sent a branded headband and invitation to join Total Twitness out to all of our clients and friends. Tweets we send out regularly and daily, and at it's peak @totaltwitness had nearly 200 followers. We hope we brought some happiness and humour to a bleak time of year.
